SPLACE was born from one idea - to create a jacket that could keep up - with your pace, style, purpose and everything in between. Something bold enough for the city, versatile enough for your weekend away, and warm enough to keep you moving.
Bubbles had been shaping the vision for weeks. One Saturday in November 2024, she shared it with two friends she met at church, Carla and Ali.
Instantly, the pieces clicked: Bubbles brought design and vision, Carla brought ops and finance, and Ali brought branding and storytelling.
Together, they have been building more than just a puffer. They’ve been building a community that celebrates women who find their place and take up space.

Fun Fact: Bubbles used to mix up ‘space’ & ‘place’ as a little girl and basically invented the world ‘SPLACE.’
Creative, driven, and big on vision, Bubbles leads SPLACE with clarity, purpose, and imagination. With a background in architecture, she’s trained to think in structure and space - skills she now channels into fashion. Like The Vuyo Jacket, Bubbles blends classic form with modern energy: strategic yet fluid, grounded yet bold. She turns ideas into products and products into culture - always pushing forward, never predictable.

Born in Stellenbosch, raised by Nina
Fun Fact: Carla designed the Nina jacket pattern - proof she’s got both her left and right brain firing perfectly.
A numbers whizz with style, Carla runs operations and keeps everything on track - from supply chain to spreadsheets. She’s the kind of leader who’s unafraid to wear pink in the boardroom, and like The Nina Jacket, brings bold, fun energy to every challenge. Practical yet fearless, Carla balances precision with personality, making sure SPLACE stays sharp and ahead of the curve.

Fun Fact: Ali has a Masters in Luxury Brand Management and an impressive Vogue Magazine Collection
Thoughtful and creative, Ali leads marketing with quiet confidence and clear strategy. Like The Beverley jacket, she’s effortlessly polished and always making a statement. Her leadership style is collaborative and intuitive; she listens deeply, guides with clarity, and inspires the team to bring the brand’s story to life in authentic, meaningful ways.
